Blog Conferences

Blog Conferences, especially for women, are becoming more and more popular.  The closest large conference to us is probably Blissdom, held in Nashville, Tennessee in just a few weeks. There are tons of other conferences stretched across the country throughout the year.

As you may know, one of our goals here at Arkansas Women Bloggers is to put together a blogger conference for women bloggers in and around the state.  So, we want to know:
  • Have you attended a blog conference in the past?  If so, what did you think of it?
  • Are you attending a conference in 2011?  Which one?  How did you choose?
  • What is your favorite feature(s) of a women's blogging conference?
  • What would you like to see included in an Arkansas Women Bloggers conference?
Please leave a comment with your thoughts.  Thanks, and happy blogging (and conferencing)!

If you want to know more about blog conferences, visit the Blog Conference Guide for the (Un)Experienced site, which includes a list of upcoming blog conferences, and posts on what to expect and how to prepare.

  1. I didn't know that blog conferences existed, but now that I know...I want to go!
I would love to learn more about creative writing and how to design my own blog background!

Where and when is the conference in Nashville?

  2. I really wanted to go to the last conference you had, but had a conflict with the date. I would love to attend one in or near Arkansas!
As far as the sessions go, I'd love to learn more about working with Wordpress, monetizing, graphic design (logos, etc) and branding.
    Thanks!

  3. I haven't ever attended a blog conference before, but I'm going to my first one in April---as a speaker! (http://www.2to1conference.com)

I would love to see a conference close to home (and affordable)!

  4. Tina, if you click the word Blissdom in the blog post, it will take you to the conference website, which has all the info on dates/location/agenda/price etc.

    Thanks, ladies, for your input!

  5. I have not been to a conference and have only been blogging a couple years. I would love to meet other bloggers and discuss ideas on how to keep a blog fresh and exciting for the readers. I would love for Arkansas Women Bloggers to host a conference and I would love to attend.

  6. Is there someone I could email directly about this? We have been discussing putting on a conference for northwest Arkansas women bloggers, but it might make sense to broaden it to Arkansas and maybe even partner with you all to open it up!
I can be reached at beth@onsc.us.

    Great discussion!

  7. I am dying to go to Blissdom...unfortunately money and time put a slight kink in my dream! :(

I would be interested in an Arkansas conference. Since I've never been, I am very open as far as topics go...I think a time to share best practices would benefit us all.

Will be watching for details. :)
